Malligavad Foundation is a non for profit, environmental conservation entity based out of Bengaluru.
Helmed by Anand Sir, it works towards restoring the suffering lakes of Banagalore city.
While everyone expresses shock & awe every time Bellandur lake catches fire, the irony of Bangalore also being called the Lake City of India seemed lost, but Anand sir has been single handedly toiling for years at bringing countless other lakes back to life. He takes funding from corporates as part of their CSR initiative & then systematically turns these land locked bodies of stagnant sewer-stops into living, water based ecosystems. The transformations have been shocking to say the least, & you can see some of those in the photos below.
I was introduced to the cause by my friend & IIMB classmate Sushma from Salesforce India, who met Anand Sir when Salesforce sponsored the Mylasandra lake back to life. So I volunteer my time & all my media expertise. I create all the digital assets that are used to create social media content, project dockets, progress reports & more.

I also make snippets to get more people to volunteer & spread awareness.
